One of my mates is doing a dual cab chop at the moment. He's not on OL but if you have any questions I can ask him for you and get back to you. |

This is mine... looks a bit different now with brush bars down the side and a rear hoop with bracing over the back of the cab..... I'll try to get another one up of how it looks now.
PM me if you need to know more
Brighty.

Cool thanks guys - Brighty - yours is exaclty what i imagine mine to be - complete with tiny rear window and everything... I originally had planned to use the rear hatch panel with glass and rear pillars for the back of the cab, but they are slighlty bigger, and ill have to do some operating and massaging to make it fit, i like how your c pillar mod came out... was it very diffucult? |

Nah mate, it wasn't too dificult. I just cut the C pillars out and stood them vertical. A little bit of manipulation and all was good, then I just got a C section made up to go around the back of it to close it all in to look nice.
If you need any more detailed pics, let me know and I can post em up for ya.

Thats my mine, I also wanted a small side window but it just turned into too much work because of the way the 2 halves meet, so I plated it up.
You are also correct that when you use the rear of the wagon and move it forward it is 40mm narrower than the roof behind the b pillar. quite a bit of massaging is required to line it up

I was lazy and got mone cut by someone else. They used bits of the roof for the back instead of the back doors. I think it looks pretty good. Sorry about the angle
Pauwolf when you fitted the patrol diff did the spring mounts on the diff need to be moved

The spring mounts got trimmed around the shock part but the front half of the spring mount is straight off a patrol. The control arm mounts were narrowed by 10 mm.
